A TOUCHING CAST PHOTO FROM THE JUSTICE LEAGUE MOVIE THAT NEVER WAS
Greg Van Borssum, a stuntman on the upcoming Mad Max reboot Fury Road, posted a photo to his Facebook page last month that offers a previously unseen glimpse of the cast and crew of the never-made 2008 Justice League movie.

Justice League: Mortal was meant to film in 2008 under George Miller, co-writer and director of the Mad Max franchise, including Fury Road. Justice League: Mortal never began filming, possibly because of the Writers Guild Strike of 2007-2008, but the photo reveals that Miller at least got as far as bringing his cast together.

Justice League: Mortal would have starred Armie Hammer as Batman, D.J. Cotrona as Superman, Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul, Zoe Kasan as Iris Allen, and Jay Baruchel as the villain of the piece, Maxwell Lord.

THIS IS VERY ACCURATE

I sometimes forget that people who don’t wear glasses may have absolutely no idea what it’s like to need glasses.

Alright, alright, alright.

F. My favourite movie. Either a toss up between Wrongfully Accused, LotR: Return of the King and Se7en. Though, I should give an honorable mention to Jurassic Park, The Dark Knight and The Avengers for sheer amount of rewatches.

J. What I want to be when I’m older. Awe fuck. I want to be in the music or sound field in some capacity. Currently trending towards the idea of being a recording engineer. But what I want to be is playing guitar on a stage somewhere. And hopefully make comfortable money off of it while still having daily access to a shower. Or writing comic books. Or reading them. Maybe review them? Just something in the creative field.

N. My genuinely favourite place to shop is either Long & McQuade or Melodiya. Records AND comics? That’s amazing.

R. Favourite song at the moment is The Boy Who Blocked His Own Shot - Brand New. Dunno why. It’s just some good shit.

S. Random fact about myself: I have an unhealthy obsession with the Mignolaverse.

kebans asked: D I C K B U T

Alright Keb. If you insist.

D. Hardest thing I’ve ever been through would definitely the court session following my accident. Yeah, no need to elaborate on that.

I. I have a single tattoo! I’m hoping to get another one this summer.

C. I like this lass named Megan. She’s smart, witty, gorgeous, well-read and just a generally exciting person. She’s pretty wicked and seems to like me! Can’t wait to come back to Calgary and see her again.

K. I have a really good relationship with my parents! I can be honest with them about almost anything. I say “almost” because there are some topics I just haven’t broached with them. I think the space from Van to Cgy has made them miss the hell out of me. They’re always trying to find ways to bring me home for visits. It’s a good feeling.

B. Favourite Band? That’s a real toughie. There’s just so many. BtBAM is up there. Protest the Hero. Mastodon. Baroness for sure. Mars Volta. Just, like so much stuff. I hate this question.

U. Where I want to be right now? Hmmmmm. On a stage playing music somewhere would be cool. I’d also really like to be somewhere sunny, sipping a pina colada, reading a book I’ve already read 30 times. That’d be nice.

T. People usually hit my age right on the head. But everyone at university assumes I’m in third year when I’m only in first. Or I guess it’ll be second in a few months here… Anyways, yeah, generally, I get mistaken for either 2-3 years older than I am. The beard helps.

Thanks Keb.
